About YOGA
You don’t have to bend like a pretzel to do yoga – yoga meets you where you are. And you don’t have to ascribe to any particular world view – today’s yoga can help you arrive at powerful insights and personal growth, but on your terms, in your own way.
Yoga is an ancient yet timely mind-body practice that uses physical poses, breathing techniques, and meditation, to provide a wide range of benefits such as greater strength and flexibility, improved health, relaxation and stress relief, enhanced well-being, and a better way to manage life.
Yoga helps us celebrate our vibrant aliveness in the best of times, and sustains us through periods of challenge and ransformation.
We learn to live our lives with greater mindfulness and an enhanced sense of connection and compassion.
About ONLINE YOGA
For over twenty years, the Stone Center for Yoga & Health in Teaneck, NJ, provided a safe, serene yoga home for the community. When Covid made it impossible to continue classes there, Charlotte moved her studio offerings into the virtual space, where daily online classes continue to provide a welcoming space to connect and practice together “virtually.” All Stone Yoga instructors are certified and specially trained to observe students closely online and ensure that the practice is safe and sensible for each individual student.
And now, students who have moved away, and those who could truly benefit from adaptive yoga, can join these classes from anywhere in the world!
YOGA
Yoga means “to yoke.”
It’s an ancient practice that offers us
a roadmap to calm the fluctuations of the mind.
We sit, we breathe, and we practice movements that help quiet
the restlessness of the body, and the incessant chatter of the mind.
And when we do that, we can connect to our true nature,
our innermost truths, and our highest good.
We become stronger and more flexible in body, mind, attitude, and action.
We become more stress hardy and resilient.
