Marge Dubrowski, RYT, completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Stone Yoga in September 2011, and she quickly moved from being a serious yoga practitioner, to sharing the practice she is so passionate about.
Marge is a registered Yoga Alliance instructor (RYT) with a special interest in bone strength and skeletal health. She has completed several workshops for osteoporosis with Sara Meeks, PT, MS, GCS, and is certified in Level 1: Osteoporosis – A Comprehensive Treatment Strategy; she also completed a 15-hour residential training with Sara Meeks in Safe Yoga for Skeletal Health at Kripalu in Stockbridge, MA. Having been diagnosed with osteoporosis herself, Marge uses everything she has learned to strengthen her bones and increase her flexibility in safe, sensible ways, and this is what she shares in every class she teaches.
In addition to the advanced trainings in her area of specialty, in 2018, Marge completed 30 hours of training in Gentle Yoga for Cancer, and a Chair Yoga training at Stone Yoga. Seeking to further her knowledge, she recently completed a workshop in “Keys to Building a Stronger Body-Mind with Yoga,” with Lynn Crimando, E-RYT500, C-IAYT, with whom she continues to study.
Marge’s other passion is mindfulness, another area of study and personal practice; she infuses each class with a contemplative style that is palpable and transformative. In her weekly Mindful Yoga classes, she offers a range of breathing techniques, adaptive yoga poses, postural exercises, and strengthening, flexibility and balancing exercises, in a serene, meditative atmosphere that her students deeply appreciate; they leave her classes with a profound sense of peace, clarity and calm. Marge also volunteers her time teaching gentle yoga classes for cancer survivors.
